Oatmeal, Walnut, Pear, and Plum Crisp. OH MY!

My mom gave me an abundance of pears and plums a little while ago. And I do love my fruit, but some of it got ripe and I still had a lot. I've always made an apple crisp but didn't know if pears and plums would like each other.

I went to Food Network.com and I usually find a good recipe. But I didn't find anything that I liked. Good old Google didn't let me down. I know I should try Epicurious.com but Food Network is always my first stop. I love Paula Dean's creations.

I found this one and I had all the ingredients and it was simple and fast. Threw it together and it's in the oven now. The great thing about fruit crisps is that they will be great in the morning for breakfast.

I did change up some things to suite what I have in my pantry and my taste. I substituted nutmeg for cinnamon. And I didn't have almonds so I put in chopped walnuts. But I'm sure it will come out good. Can't wait to try a little.
