Free 16x20 Poster from Walmart
Get your free 16x20 poster from Walmart of that picture you have been wanting to print out.
It's as simple as uploading them to the Walmart photo site (which you will have to sign up for) and then choosing what picture you want to print out. There is an option to make a collage of your pictures and it will arrange all you pictures for you. This way you do not have to have just one big picture but several pictures in one big picture. I printed out two coupons. One I made a collage of my recent family pictures that my husband, son, and myself took. And the other one I made a collage for my mom for Christmas.
This coupon does expire on the 31st. But it's really easy and quick and ready in the same day. So I would encourage you to print out the coupon and make your print. You only have to pay the tax! It's a deal and it comes out very nice.
And just some information about Walmart, if the expiration date on the coupon isn't too late, they still accept some.
So PRINT OUT YOUR COUPON HERE
It's a great idea to update you pictures in your living room or even for a Christmas gift. Happy Printing!

Gotta say...I heart Lay-A-Way!
Yes! I said it! I love Layaway! Do you remember layaway? Those years before they gave a credit card to just anyone? When putting a little aside made sense. I remember that's how my mom did our Christmas shopping growing up. But when I got to high school Kmart and layaway was sort of taboo.
First of all have you been to Kmart lately? I went in there to do our Christmas shopping and got a chance to look around. I have to say that Sofia's collection is really nice. I love this dress that is at Kmart. It's really cute, right? And only $22.49. There are a lot of nice trendy and budget friendly clothes there. I would suggested to check them out and I might even have to do a layaway for some new clothes for me.

Back to layaway, back in September I told my husband that we need to go to Kmart to do our Christmas shopping. He looked at me weird. I let him know that if we do it now, then by mid November (8 weeks to pay it off) we will have it paid off and wouldn't have to worry about Christmas shopping at the crazy time everyone else is shopping. Plus, we get first pick at the toys for our son. So we did it and we're going to pay it off very soon here. And it feels good.
Not only can you do it at Kmart but also Sears is connected to Kmart and you can do layaway there too. I know the Toys R Us and Walmart have some layaway programs they are doing for the holidays too. But they are only allowing certain things. You can put anything on layaway at Kmart. Clothes, home wares, tools, etc.
Well I hope you find the best deals out there and it's always good to start planning ahead for the Christmas season. Happy shopping!!!!

Reward Programs....Why not?
We are in the process of potty training, but we still need pull ups. And if you potty train you know how much you buy those things. A little while ago I found a sticker inside the package. "Hmmm, what's this? A rewards program?", I thought. Might as well check them out.
I finally checked it out and it is a pretty good program. You enter the codes to the website and as you build up your points, you can redeem them for toys, sippy cups, magazines for mom, and other things. This can also be done for diapers and you know you buy a lot of those when you need them. So they will add up quickly.
Here is the website http://www.pull-ups.com/na/Default.aspx
I also found some stickers on the Hanes sweats I bought for my son. And those rewards add up quick. I got 5 points for joining, then 10 points for each piece I redeemed. Which was 2 pieces. So I have 25 points and I need 30 for a 3 pack of underwear. Everyone can always use underwear, right? But there is also sweatshirts, t-shirts, men and boys underwear, and socks. Stuff you can always use. So it makes it worth it to sign up and redeem, since it is stuff you buy anyways.http://comfortrewards.com/
I know I will start to look out for other reward programs and keep redeeming the ones I started. Hope you find as much joy in getting rewards as I do.
Also I got a free Artisan Pizza from Dominos today. They are giving away 2000 pizzas each day and I got one. Me and my son loved the Spinach and Feta pizza with Alfredo sauce. YUM! He ate 4 slices. Just like them on Facebook and then go to the New Artisan Pizza tab and enter. Try to do it early because they do run out. The only catch is that you have to order it the same day. But you order it online and can delay the time, so if you do it early and want it for dinner, put a 5:00 pm pick time and it will be ready! Who doesn't like free pizza?

Happy Anniversary Kohls!
I hope you all got your Kohls $10 Gift good toward EVERYTHING in the mail! I did!
For a long time I didn't pay attention to these. I thought you had to spend a certain amount before you got the $10 off. But no, you just have to spend $10! And even if you just pay tax on it, it's still something for $10 for what, some cents? It's a deal to me! Now I look forward to them coming in the mail!
This one is valid from September 14th - September 24th. So I decided to check it out, on my day off, and browse around.
I checked out some clothes and maybe an anniversary gift for my hubby. But nothing too spectacular. Then I remembered they had house ware stuff. And since I've been making cinnamon rolls, tortillas, and pizza dough (and have been using glasses and jars to use roll out my dough) I needed a rolling pin. This is an item I wouldn't normally spend money on. But since I had $10 to spend, I checked it out.
They had a Food Network rolling pin! Whoo hoo! It's ticket price was for $30, but it was half off, so $15. Then with my $10 gift towards it, I ended up paying $5 and some tax for it! WHAT A DEAL! So I got a $30 rolling pin for $5! LOVE IT!
Hope you find yours in the mail and use it too!
Also, I've found some great clearance items at Old Navy! I've gotten a tank top for $1.47, some lounge pants for $0.97, and a cute sundress for $0.47. You may have to dig for them, but they're in there! Check them out!

Just some freebies that I've got in the mail.
I posted a little bit ago about getting a free mini picture book from My Publisher. And I got mine in!!! yeah!!! I did Junior's 3rd birthday with this. And since I didn't have many pictures, the 21 slots was perfect. But I just wanted to share with you how it looked.
Also if you like Gimmiefreebies.com on facebook you can get notifications about free sample give-a-ways. I sent away for Suave free samples. I have to say I love getting stuff in my snail mail! It's like mini presents! But here is a picture of what they sent me.
I also wanted to show the finished product of the Pear, Plum, Walnut, Crisps. It was so good and I enjoyed some more today! I did reheat it by putting in the oven and it actually made a nice caramel sauce when I heated it the second time. I hope you will try to make it yourself and let me know how you liked it.

Oatmeal, Walnut, Pear, and Plum Crisp. OH MY!
My mom gave me an abundance of pears and plums a little while ago. And I do love my fruit, but some of it got ripe and I still had a lot. I've always made an apple crisp but didn't know if pears and plums would like each other.
I went to Food Network.com and I usually find a good recipe. But I didn't find anything that I liked. Good old Google didn't let me down. I know I should try Epicurious.com but Food Network is always my first stop. I love Paula Dean's creations.
I found this one and I had all the ingredients and it was simple and fast. Threw it together and it's in the oven now. The great thing about fruit crisps is that they will be great in the morning for breakfast.
You can find the recipe here: http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Oatmeal-Almond-Pear-and-Plum-Crisp-102207
I did change up some things to suite what I have in my pantry and my taste. I substituted nutmeg for cinnamon. And I didn't have almonds so I put in chopped walnuts. But I'm sure it will come out good. Can't wait to try a little.
Hope you enjoy and let me know how it comes out for you.

Run Momma Run!
There was a time where I did not like running at all! I felt like my head was about to explode, my thighs were on fire, my lungs were going to pop out of my chest, and I was running on hot coals. Not my idea of fun. But I always envied those joggers you see running effortlessly and thinking, "It must feel good, because I wouldn't see the same person EVERY day doing it, right?"
One job I had was an office manager for a restaurant and the owner was a triathlete. She competed in the Iron Man in Hawaii and several other races locally. She was very fit and she said she took it up because she loved to eat. Thumbs pointing to myself. I love to eat and trying new and good foods. Since I worked at her restaurant and there were lots of "tester" plates, I asked her how do I get started? Here were some of the tips she told me:
Fast forward to last year and making a goal to run a 5K (3.1 miles) before the end of the year. I wasn't running for a while and after my son I needed a motivator. The one I wanted to do was in November and I started training in April. My best friend's husband volunteered to train me to run. I was always kind of embarrassed to run around town. But I had to swallow my pride and I put on the thinking, at least I'm out jogging. If anyone has anything negative to say, they don't run. And the people that do, know that it's the best feeling when you finish (endorphin rush) and are cheering you on. That endorphin rush is the best! I have to say it is addicting. I had some knowledge of how to run, but any time I ran before it was either on a flat track or on a treadmill. Training for a 5K there is various terrain, hills, gravel, asphalt, just depending on the course. He gave me some more tips on how to run that really helped.
I know that my blog is about saving money and tips and stuff. But when I tell people that I jog for exercise, they seem to always suggest, why don't you join this gym or that gym. Or take this class or join this trend diet, etc. For me, jogging is low cost. I invest in a good pair of shoes, open my door and go! The outside air is great, I get to clear my head, and I get to exercise and feel good. To me jogging is a great money saving exercise.
Hope to see you around town hitting the pavement with me!

Since I worked at her restaurant and there were lots of "tester" plates, I asked her how do I get started? Here were some of the tips she told me:
- Get a good pair of running shoes. Not all shoes were meant for running. The fire I feel in my feet is because my shoes were not supporting me. The pain in my knees and ankles was also a result of not having a good pair of shoes. I have flat feet (Thanks Dad) and I need a really good arch support. Once I found shoes that did that, it made a WORLD of difference. I find the Nikes are the best shoes that work for me, and the come in wide width.
- It takes 12 minutes for your body to regulate, meaning your breathing adjusts to what you are doing. So she told me to keep going but after 10 minutes you will feel good. Believe me, starting out 10 minutes felt like 10 hours of torture. But as soon as I reached 10, I thought hey made it this far what's two more minutes. And I felt good.
- Not to worry about my diet when I first start out. But just to concentrate on my time and then after I got into the distance we would revisit and see if I even needed to change my diet.
Training for a 5K there is various terrain, hills, gravel, asphalt, just depending on the course. He gave me some more tips on how to run that really helped.
- Shoes! Again he emphasized how important shoes are and suggested to go to a place to fit me like Fleet Feet. They are pricey, but they educate you and fit you for free. If you're on a budget like me, I took that knowledge and know what I'm looking for at other stores now. But they do have great shoes for runners and it's a one stop shop.
- Breathing. Any cramps, any muscle aches, feeling short of breath, you can rectify it with breathing. DUH, right? Well you sometimes forget. One tip he said that really helped is to over exaggerate your breathing. But it gets more oxygen in and helps with any of those pains you feel. It really does work. But DON'T STOP! He wouldn't let me stop jogging, I could slow down, but as soon as my oxygen levels were good, picked the speed back up!
- Finished harder than you started. We would pick a stop spot and about 200 yards before that stop he would make me sprint to the stopping place. OH MY! So didn't want to, but boy do you feel good when you accomplish it. Those endorphins hit you harder when you finish like that! Believe me when I tell you that I do finish like Rocky with my hands up in the air after a run like that.
- When you can run with a buddy. This will help you talk while you jog. The running is the aerobic exercise. And the talking helps with the anaerobic exercise. And it makes you breath. Plus running with someone makes it go by fast and you can help push each other.

Free Kids Song Downloads at Amazon.com
Just spent about1/2 an hour downloading fun kid songs for my son that I found on Amazon.com. I went there because I saw that they had a Sesame Street sampler download for free from the gimmiefreebies.com website. When I checked it out I saw you can also download a sampler of The Wiggles, Veggie Tales, and other kid songs.
I got a good amount to make a new CD for our car rides. And all you moms out there that play kid music in your car, you know variety is good. I hope you enjoy the free find to get some good clean kid tunes to keep them moving, dancing, and singing!

Long time no post
Hello all! Sorry for not posting as often as I should. But all of you with an active toddler can relate to my time management.
I wanted to share a couple of things that I have found and some knowledge I want to pass on.
One, I just finished putting together my Free Mini Photo book from MyPublisher I found this on GimmieFreebies.com
My friend Jennette told me about this website. It's fun to go through and just send off for all the free things. Well I find it fun. Kinda of one of my new hobbies. But the Free Mini Photo book also has free shipping. Which I don't send off for anything if it doesn't have free shipping. That's just me.
I also wanted to share where I think the BEST place to get your cell phone upgrade. I searched every where, AT&T store, Best Buy, Target, Costco, etc. I wanted a free phone! Remember that? A phone you would get completely free! No taxes attached. Well of course now with all the taxes being added to stuff (Side Note: If you eat at Subway and like your sandwiches toasted, you get taxed on the toasting. Don't you love California?)
So going into your local AT&T store and they're trying to sell me on the Iphone for only $49!!! Great right? well no, after taxes, since they tax you on the ORIGINAL price, it comes out to be about $100. Not a deal to me! I finally went into to Walmart. Saw the Blackberry Curve and it was FREE. I asked so what's the taxes on this one? He said, "Well, it's for free, so no taxes." What? Really? Free? I asked how? and why? The only answer he had for me was "Because we're Walmart and we want you to return back to us."
Well you got me! Both my husband and I got our phones for free, no taxes. AWESOME! We're with AT&T but they also carry, TMoblie, Verizon, and Sprint. They also have prepaid phones as well. So, if you're looking to upgrade your phone soon check out Walmart. Again, I'm not a bigger, better, and have to have the most recent gadgets. So, I don't have a problem with the later models, and to be honest the Blackberry was a huge upgrade from what I was using. People ask WHAT? No Iphone? I say when I can get one for free, I'll have an Iphone. Haha!
Health. Yes health. Always my aim to be healthier and drop some LBS. My friend Raquel introduced me to this website, loseit.com. I showed her my food log, you know the old school way. Write all your food down, go to your calorie book, look up everything, the add it all up. She showed me this website, totally for FREE to sign up. And it does all the hard work for you. And it deducts calories when you exercise. It's really a useful tool if you are looking to be accountable for what you eat and helping you loose weight. If you sign up, add me as your friend!
I hope all these things can help you either save a couple $$$, create a free photo book, or help you lose the weight you've been wanting to lose. I always welcome sites, tips, and feed back! God Bless

Free Brow Service on your birthday with Benefit Cosmetics!
Today I had a fun filled day with my cousins, Stephanie and Michelle. At one part of the day we ended up looking around at Macy's and was browsing around the Benefit cosmetics counter.
By nature, our family is thrifty! We all share the same passion for a deal and FREE stuff. So my cousin Michelle spotted a sign that said Free Brow service on your birthday. She said "hey Tina, you should do this for your birthday." The associate was very friendly and nice and asked when my birthday was. So she took my name, number, and birth date. She said that someone would call before my birthday to set up an appointment for my free brow service.
Just wanted to share with you all that have a birthday coming up! Check it out and if you want a free brow service, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

starting to coupon...
Have you seen the show Extreme Couponing on TLC? I started to watch it and thought, Wow! I'm lagging in saving some serious money!
If you haven't seen it, it is a about people who uses coupons to make a grocery shopping trip that would retail for over $1,000 or more and with coupons only pay like $30 out the door. Crazy right?
So I thought ok, I'll give it a try. I love finding deals and if I could do that it would be awesome! What I learned was that the reason they have stock piles is in order to get it down you have to buy lots of items. Well, I live in a apartment and do not have an extra room, attic, basement, or garage to store all that stuff. So it doesn't make sense for me to create a stock pile like the people in the show.
But it doesn't mean that couponing isn't worth doing on a smaller scale. 50 cents save is still 50cents. $1.00 off is still a $1.00 in your pocket. I created a email account JUST for couponing. When you sign up for these coupon sites and stores and manufactures they always require a email. I didn't want my regular email and blackberry blowing up with coupons and recipes. So it's just for couponing. Which keeps it organized for me.
My friend Janette, who is a stater extreme couponer, directed me to the site hip2save.com It's pretty awesome. I also liked it on Facebook. Since I check my facebook more often then my email, I get updates from them through out the day and can check on my computer for the deals I really like.
Also signing up at the stores you shop the most and the products you use the most helps you save. I love targets coupon page. You can pick and choose which ones you like and they print them all on one page.
Of course your Sunday paper is where you can find all the good coupons too. I also check the Tuesday ones since Save Mart and Safeway send out their own coupons in those circulatory.
Like I said, I'm a beginning couponer, but I think every little bit helps. Would love to hear your tips and ideas on couponing too!
Happy Clipping!

And so it begins...
I've been thinking about doing a blog about my deal findings and coupons and just everyday mom and wife stuff. To me being thrifty isn't a bad thing, it's a good thing. When I find a great deal it's like winning a contest for me.
So let me introduce myself, I'm a wife of almost 9 years, a mommy of a 2 year old and I stay at home with my son. Like a lot of parents, we had to make the decision for me to stay home or put our son into full time day care and have a big sum of money go to daycare. We decided for our family it was better for me to stay home. Now, with having only one income coming in, I felt like it was my job to find ways to save our family money.
For a lot of people bigger and newer is better. For me, cheaper is good, free is better! I was raised to find the deals and enjoy the simpler stuff in life. And now its transferred over to my family. I always check the clearance section first (usually in the back of the store) and if it's not on sale, it will be. I've just recently started to coupon. I find it fun and see that almost anything you want you can find a coupon for.
This blog is targeted for mom's, but even for people who like to find a good deal. I'll share what deals I find, coupons, recipes, activities for families, and anything else I think that would be good for mom's to know.
I hope you enjoy and I welcome any ideas that you would like to share.
God Bless!
